Bangui Sporting and FAP advanced to the West Division Elite 16. The team from Central Africa posted a thrilling 88-87 win to win the group with a 2-1 record. FAP Yaounde suffered their first loss, however also advanced to the next stage.
Bijan Johnson (183-PG-1997, college: NM Military) came up with 20 points, whilst Rolly Fula Nganga (200-PF-1993) netted 19. Alex Higgins-Titsha (197-F-2000) added 16 points and 9 rebounds. Arnold Kome (195-F-1992) replied with 25 points and Cyrille Liale Keumoe (180-PG-1992) poured in 20.
